Yeay! Got my new car!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, citizens of the web and all that is seeing this... I present to you... my NEW car!!! Ta dahhhhhhh!!!

It's a brand new Myvi!!! Yeay! =D

It's already evening when I took the pictures and please forgive me for the dark lighting. Hehe. Roughly around 4pm, my dad drove me to the dealer's shop to pick up the car at New Town (MBPJ there). Well, the drive home is a little scary because I am just getting use to the car and I am not familiar with the road. However, I managed to follow my dad's car until i reach home safely. Evidently. =D

Now, let's talk about the car! The car's exterior and interior is quite good. Built quality is superior to most of the other Perodua cars and is quite spacious inside. =) Well, because mine is the Standard spec Myvi, it does not come with airbags and ABS system. So, gotta drive extra careful! Haha. Seats are cloth covered and the rear seats are foldable for extra boot space...really big. =D Furthermore, a plastic tray is provided for the boot so that anything wet won't mess up the carpet.

Moving on to the overall driver's feel of the car... First, starting the car is smooth and quick, mirrors can be adjusted electronically but a little too quick at the adjusting. Signals and wipers feels OK, the touch of the gear is reassuring, unlike the one's in Viva and Kenari, which are longer and uses hard plastic... Myvi's gear knob feels softer. Hand brake is similar to the gear knob. Furthermore, seat is comfortable for the car, not too low or too high. Of course, you can't compare Myvi's seat to Toyota(s) or other more expensive makes. The pedals are OK, brakes a lil stiff and needs getting used to, and accelerator is a little soft and low. Overall, the feel is quite good.

Now! Driving the car! =D Engine sounds OK, braking distances are fine, steering is a little stiff but overall is OK. However, the car revs too much when the accelerator is pressed just a little more. It's probably better if it's tuned to change gears faster rather than having the engine revving until around 2-3000 rpm and yet to change gears. Thus, because of this, the acceleration of the car wasn't really good and lacks responsiveness. This will probably affect the confidence of the driver on the car when overtaking, and also increases fuel consumption... Note to self: Ask the mechanics to tune it properly when servicing the car.

Anyway, I'm really really really really glad that I am having my own car and Thanks so so so so much to my parents! =D Now must work harder to upgrade my scholarship to 100% if not, maintaining it. Oh well, I think most of you are already bored after reading so much of my comments on the car...I think I shall stop here, and go to bathe! =D That's all for now! Have a nice day/night everyone! And again, Thank you, Mummy & Daddy. =)

P.S. Gonna drive to Uni tomorrow! =D
