My camera is not waste of money
^ Attempted to go to the Moomba Festival... But failed due to the hailstorm. This is Flinders Street station taken after the hail... Looong after
^ My new table lamp bought from Ikea. Jie must be so proud that she made me buy a yellow coloured lamp.
^ My room's layout again. This time with the lamp inside. I need a desk organizer... or maybe more drawers.
Greetings from Down Under
Greetings everyone,
(I'm) Deeply sorry for the lack of words for the past 3 posts. This is due to the urgency of getting the pictures up before people starting to complain about the slow uploading.
Anyway, I'm almost at the end of Week 1 of Semester 1. I must say that free food are still the best things around lunch time in campus. I sure do hope that it continues throughout the semester. *fingers crossed*. Been packing ham sandwiches to uni for the past 2 days... Ham, salad vegetables and cheese tastes better than I thought! Whee! However, additional biscuits are definitely needed to fill my pampered stomach. (Don't worry mum and dad, I won't starve myself!). Besides that, I found out that I'm actually quite fond of cooking. Yeah. Experimenting new "recipes", lazy methods to cook, mis-matched soup with everything inside (chicken, fresh mushroom, carrot, lettuce). However, to wash up the dishes and pots after cooking is the worst worst worst part of preparing dinner. I hate the lingering smell of dish washing liquid on my hands. Yuck yuck yuck yuck. I might sound like a pampered child but hey, I'm still doing what I need to do... Just that I make some noise while doing it. Haha.
Moving on to other things in my life abroad... Hm... Laundry is quite easy to do actually. However, I found one of my sized "M" shirt turned into size "XL" after the wash. The speed is already on Regular/Gentle! The washing machine conned me. Seriously...I thought washing machines are more reputable for shrinking clothes? No? Anyway, the detergent smell is definitely there when I take the laundry out of the dryer. Must remember to rinse after wash next time (Next time probably means tomorrow. Oh no.).
By the way, classes are sleepy as usual. But suprisingly, I stayed awake throughout the dynamics class today! I'm amazed by myself too! Thank you thank you. Lecturers are generally quite OK. They seem to look like they know what they're talking about. Except today's dynamics class, the lecturer did some tiny mistakes in the notes he was writing. He seemed to engrossed in his teaching until he didn't know what he was saying. Haha. Funny no 'ang mohs' pointed it out. Hmm... Why was I awake during the class again? I wonder. =p
Lalala... I went to play badminton with a bunch of friends today. Namely Lip Boon, Tom, Jerry, Lisa, Kit Yee, Pei Chern, Cheng Yi, Jason, Allan? Oh well, please do not be offended if I missed you out. Thank you. Anyway, badminton was fun. Been quite some time since I've touched my racquet and I sure do miss it. Yeah. But one thing bad about the court is the drooping net and the glaring lights. Sheesh. I hope badminton club sessions will be better. Tomorrow is the day (for badminton club)! Hopefully I can make it.... 'Cause we were planning to do some groceries shopping tomorrow so that we can hopefully attend the Moomba festival in the city on saturday.
Anyway, I'm sure Jie will not forgive me if I fail to mention about the weekend whereby me and my friends went to the city to look for her. Haha. So, we did went to the city to find her (Jie). We first went to check out some underground dodgy pet shop whereby they have lizards, gecko, fishes etc. Quite interesting, especially the salamander thingy that looked quite weird. So after that, we moved on to Queen Victoria market to check it out while Jie went to do her grocery shopping. Well, I actually was expecting more from the market. Too much Made in China things in the market... I have a feeling that most of the "Australia" branded things are also made in China. Haha. Ater that, we went walking around the city to shop for Pei Chern's jacket for winter. But in the end she settled with a grey hoodie... those that are definitely inadequate for winter. Yeap. Happy shopping again, Pei Chern! So, right after that we went for lunch. *skips the lunch part 'cause it's nothing much*. Anyway, if my memory serves me well, we didnt do much after lunch. Just lazing around and bla bla bla dinner time! Dinner at Grill'd in Melbourne Central, then I hopped onto the train and went back to campus!
So, that's it for this wordy post. No fancy colouring and font sizes due to the lack of effort. Please do not complain. That's all for now folks! Will post up pictures later!
