Exam is over!

Quite some time ago actually...

Anyway, yes, i am enjoying the holidays now... Sleeping in, cooking "better" food, enjoying movies on my laptop, etc.

So far I've been to Healesville with Mei Xian, Wing Yann and Chee Yung. Quite fun and interesting as we explored the Healesville sanctuary, seeing animals shit and pee all over the place...
Also, we went to the Maroondah Reservoir Park which is basically a park near a dam. Well, there are quite a variety of birds there to watch. But this is definitely not the season to go there. Firstly, the water level is quite low, thus exposing the waterlines. Also, the Rose stairs isn't "rose-y" at all due to the season. Bleh.

However, I do enjoy the fresh air and scenery of the small town of Healesville. To me, it felt like the Raub town in Malaysia, with long, hilly 2 lane roads and trees lining up alongside. Quite a relaxing place to have a walk despite a moderate amount of traffic.

Anyways, here are some pictures!

^Healesville Sanctuary entrance... It's like a zoo. Really
.
^Mei Xian, Wing Yann and Me

^Evening walk with scenery like this along the road

^Us having dinner! Pastaaaaaa

^Night time view of the "cottage" we stayed in. More like an extension of the barn

^This is taken in total darkness. Pretty cool eh?

^Bright red mushroom!!!

^We are all fascinated by it. Very very fascinated.

^So we took a picture with it! =D

^Daisy-like flower picture for my dear! =D

^And the highlight of the Maroondah Reservoir Dam... The Dam wall!

^Not enough water!!! =(

^A type of Cockatoo. Abundant in the park.

^Quite cloudy eh?

^Looking down from the dam wall... A park with a sun-dial

^And we went up to the lookout point and have a little picnic of junk food.

^Group picture from the Rose stairs. Where are the roses??

^Colourful birds like this are everywhere in Australia

^Old valve house underneath the dam wall.

^Winter is not the time for vineyards.

That's all for now folks!
